The third and final new hotel from Crystalbrook Collection to open in Cairns will welcome guests for the first time on 10 November 2020, the company has confirmed.
Delayed from its original opening of March due to the onset of COVID-19, the arrival of Flynn completes the picture for Crystalbrook in Cairns, following the arrival of Riley in late 2018 and Bailey a year later.
The five-star property will feature 311 rooms, many overlooking the Coral Sea, with guest facilities including a glass-bottomed swimming pool and 24-hour fitness centre. Food and beverage on-site will include the already-open ground floor eatery, Boardwalk Social, alongside Flynn’s Italian and the Whiskey and Wine Bar, both of which will open shortly after the hotel itself. A day spa under Crystalbrook’s Eleme brand will open its treatment rooms and facilities in 2021.
True to form, Flynn will align with the company’s highly sustainable operating mantra, with guests to use room keys made from recycled wood; in-room digital compendiums and mobile check-in functionality.
Crystalbrook Collection Interim CEO, Geoff York, said the company is ready and excited to welcome travellers back to North Queensland once the borders reopen.
“It [has] been an unpredictable year but one thing we know for sure is that we cannot wait to welcome guests back to our hotels as travel restrictions ease,” York said.
“We are so proud to be a part of the cultural landscape of Cairns, and the opening of Flynn represents our ongoing commitment to supporting and investing in the Australian tourism industry.”
