Hoteliers operating under Accor brands will soon have access to more comprehensive forward-focused market data as part of a newly-expanded partnership between the hotel giant and travel technology firm, Amadeus.
The expanded tie-up will see Accor hoteliers gain access to Amadeus’ ‘Demand360’ platform, which provides market forecasts based on more than 30,000 incoming data points covering the performance of hotels and other accommodation providers including short-term rentals. The data will allow properties to view forecasts for up to a year in advance, assisting them with market trends, distribution strategies, rate setting and revenue per available room and local market share.
The global agreement will see Accor encourage adoption of Amadeus’ Demand360 system across its global network of more than 5,000 hotels over 39 brands in 110 countries.
Accor SVP Revenue Strategy and Performance, Béla Nagy, said Demand360 will also allow Accor’s corporate offices to gain insights into individual brand performance and support overall demand generation and distribution strategies.
“By deepening our relationship with Amadeus for this unique business intelligence solution, our hoteliers will gain visibility into their specific markets and be able to use the data to tailor their revenue strategy and stay ahead of the competition,” Nagy said.
Key benefits of Demand360 allow hoteliers to refine revenue strategies with forward-looking data and identify pricing plans for under-performing segments. The system can be integrated with existing RMS and PMS platforms to provide deeper analysis and forecasts.
