Serviced apartment operator Quest says it remains firmly focused on its European expansion plans despite the pandemic, backed by support from majority stakeholder, The Ascott Limited.
Following the company opening its first Northern Hemisphere franchise nearly a year ago in the UK city of Liverpool, the property has seen early success with a meteoric rise up the local TripAdvisor charts. This early success has bolstered Quest’s belief in the ongoing success of its business model in other key European cities.
Quest Apartment Hotels COO, David Mansfield, said the early success of Liverpool would set the brand up for future success elsewhere in the continent.
“Ascott already has a significant footprint throughout Europe across its stable of brands, giving Quest the market understanding and relationships to scale quickly and successfully,” he said.
Closer to home, the company has continued on a path of new location openings, with recent launches including Quest Robina and Quest Palmerston North in New Zealand. The brand will next week open doors to Quest Perth Ascot – making it the largest single brand hotel operator in Western Australia.
Announcements of future Quest locations have also continued in recent week, with Quest Woolooware, south of Sydney, to feature as part of a new development adjacent to PointsBet Stadium – home of the NRL’s Cronulla Sharks.
“Quest Woolooware Bay will accommodate the growing business community ensuing from the Town Centre development, as well as sporting teams and fans,” Mansfield added.
“Our strategy is to be where the corporate traveller needs to be, and that is regional and suburban Australia.
“Throughout the global pandemic these locations have been the most resilient and we anticipate they’ll lead our recovery on the whole,” he added.
