Minor Hotel Group has today announced the introduction of the NH Collection brand into the Australian market, with a newbuild Sydney CBD property set to rise on Wentworth Street, opening to guests in 2023.
The upper-upscale brand, an offshoot of the NH Hotels brand, enters the Australian market and joins stablemates Avani and Oaks Hotels in the local market.
NH Collection Sydney will feature 254 hotel rooms, a fitness centre, meeting and conference facilities, speciality restaurant and lobby bar. The company said its culinary prowess is a core pillar of the brand, drawing on culturally authentic gastronomic experiences backed by celebrity and high-profile chefs.
The introduction of the NH Collection to Australia marks the brand’s first expansion into the Pacific region, with the majority of the 80 portfolio located in Europe and Latin America, with others scattered in North America and the Middle East.
Minor Hotels Australia and New Zealand Chief Operating Officer, Craig Hooley, said he was thrilled to be introducing the premium NH Collection brand into the Australian market.
“Joining an existing portfolio of over 80 NH Collection properties globally, we are confident that the brand’s promise to offer the extraordinary and exceed guests’ expectations will be well received within the Australian market,” he said.
“We have been eager to launch the NH Collection brand in Australia for a number of years now, although vowed only to do so when we could open in one of Sydney’s best locations.
“We are confident that the hotel’s central location will provide leisure and corporate travellers the best of Sydney on their doorstep,” Hooley added.
