A new mixed-use beachfront development coming to the Gold Coast will include a dual hotel and serviced residence component to be managed by Langham Hospitality Group, the company has confirmed.
The long-rumoured agreement was formalised this week and will see the Hong Kong-based luxury hotel marque occupy the taller, middle tower of Jewel Residences by Langham – one of three new Surfers Paradise skyscrapers currently being developed on the Glitter Strip.
The Langham, Gold Coast will consist of 169 luxury hotel rooms from Levels 3-20, while a further 170 serviced apartments designed to exacting standards will be offered from Levels 22-49. The newest addition to the group adds to the group’s Australian portfolio, which currently comprises two luxury hotels in Sydney and Melbourne.
A variety of new culinary concepts will make their debut alongside the hotel, with multiple table-service restaurants, led by the T’ang Court Cantonese eatery. The property will also offer a ‘grab and go’ style café, lobby lounge, pool bar and a podium sky terrace and bar overlooking the ocean. Additional guest facilities will include the Chuan Spa, specialising in traditional Chinese medicine, which will feature seven treatment rooms.
Further, a 700 square metre ballroom will feature as part of the hotel’s events and conferencing options, alongside a multi-function room and four additional meeting rooms.
Langham Hospitality Group CEO, Stefan Leser, said the company was very much looking forward to complementing its renowned service standards with the vibrancy and lifestyle hallmarks of the Gold Coast.
“Combining the cosmopolitan vibrancy and relaxed lifestyle for which the Gold Coast is renowned will certainly position The Langham as the quintessential luxury urban resort,” he said.
The Langham, Gold Coast is on track to open to guests at the end of 2021.
