Boutique hotel group, Lancemore, has named James Sharrock as the opening General Manager to take charge of its newest property in Melbourne’s Crossley Street ahead of its opening in March.
Formerly an Area General Manager for Accor, Sharrock joins Lancemore during an exciting time for the company as it prepares to open its seventh property and first in the Melbourne CBD.
Along with Accor, Sharrock brings 15 years of experience to his new role with Hayman Island Resort, Art Series Group in Melbourne and The Loden Hotel in Vancouver. The native Melburnian is highly familiar with the city and pride himself on delivering exemplary customer service to guests each day.
Lancemore CEO, Julian Clark, said he was thrilled to have somebody of James’ experience leading the team at Crossley St.
“With his local background, James will be able to deliver an authentic and personalised Melbourne experience.”
“To be able to join the Lancemore team at such a pivotal time for the group and oversee a Melbourne hotel launch of this calibre is not something you get to be involved in very often, Sharrock added.
“I look forward to the next couple of months as we prepare to welcome our first guests to Lancemore Crossley St.”
The 113-room Lancemore Crossley St can be found down one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways and on opening, will yield the results of a $10 million renovation from interior design firm, Carr.
