Wyndham Destinations Asia-Pacific has installed Malik Hayat as General Manager at its newly acquired Club Wyndham Airlie Beach Whitsundays following the resort’s rebranding.
Hayat has steadily moved up Australia’s east coast in his time with Wyndham Destinations, having begun with the organisation in 2016 at Club Wyndham Sydney before being named Resort Manager at Club Wyndham Coffs Harbour around a year ago, prior to his recent move to North Queensland.
Club Wyndham Airlie Beach is situated on a hill overlooking the Whitsunday Passage and features a variety of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Guest facilities include an open-air restaurant and bar, infinity pool and spa, fitness centre and meeting facilities.
Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific’s Vice President of Resort Operations, Warren Cullum, said Hayat had proven his leadership ability and passion for hospitality.
“Malik is a passionate and results-driven leader who always strives to go the extra mile in order to build strong customer relationships and drive results.
“Malik has been integral to building strong relationships between our sales, marketing and operation teams, and his passion for customer service is second to none.
“This proven track record makes him the perfect person to take responsibility for overseeing the day to day operations at Club Wyndham Airlie Beach.”
