Legendary Hollywood actress, Susan Sarandon, has signed on to star in a new global brand campaign for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, which will aim to showcase the transformative power of travel.
Sarandon’s promotion will seek to reach out to new generations of travellers to think globally but act locally, strive for excellence and to do so in a sustainable way.
Now aligned with Accor’s Planet 21 sustainability initiative, Fairmont will include its sustainability credentials in the new campaign, having been one of the world’s first hotel brands to develop a global sustainability program by pledging to reduce emissions in the markets it operates.
Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Vice President, Sharon Cohen, said Sarandon’s strength of character and timeless sophistication were behind the reasons for the collaboration.
“It is a privilege to work with Fairmont, a company for whose values I have great respect and whose extraordinary hotels are a joy to experience,” Sarandon added.
“Together we hope to convey a sense of life as a grand journey that we hope will be meaningful and inspiring to guests and fans of Fairmont around the world.”
The campaign featuring Sarandon will begin to hit screens from the second quarter of 2020.
