Mandala Asset Solutions will add Mantra branding to its recently acquired 79-room hotel in Mackay, boosting Accor’s presence in the Central Queensland town by a further property.
Set to take effect next week, the eight-storey Mantra Mackay occupies waterfront land and offers views over the Coral Sea. It joins Ibis Mackay as the other property in Accor’s stable in the town. The hotel was constructed in 2005 and offers guests access to a fitness centre, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, four meeting rooms and a business centre.
“Mantra Mackay is one of the best properties in Mackay and this acquisition speaks to our confidence in the city’s future and the importance of securing well-positioned product in market,” said Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer, Simon McGrath.
“We are excited to again partner with Mandala Asset Solutions on this property and believe it has great potential to service a number of markets.”
Mantra Mackay is located around 20 minutes from Mackay Airport and a few minutes from the town centre. It is Accor’s second franchise agreement with Mandala Asset Solutions alongside Mercure Albury in Victoria.
