Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer, Simon McGrath, is among a swathe of industry captains and inspiring business people and thought leaders donating the gift of time in an effort to help raise $40,000 for five worthwhile charities.
The initiative, dubbed ‘Feel Mentored’, sees 20 of Australia’s movers and shakers each donating two hours of their time to businesses and individuals seeking mentorship. Funds raised will go to five charity partners of the Accor Community Fund Australia – Kokoda Youth Foundation, Lifeline, Garvan Institute of Medical Research, the Australian Childhood Foundation and AIME Mentoring.
Alongside McGrath, mentors each donating a two hour session include former Australian of the Year Rosie Batty; Gold Coast Suns CEO, Mark Evans; Mental Health Movement Founder, Dan Hunt; Garvan Institute of Medical Research Chair, Dr John Schubert; AFL Hall of Fame and Premiership Coach, Paul Roos; Melbourne Storm CEO, Dave Donaghy and many more.
Tickets can be purchased for $10 individually into 20 raffle draws, with one being run for each mentor. Alternatively, the famed’ Golden Ticket’ can also be purchased, giving the recipient one entry into each of the 20 draws.
“The Accor Community Fund is committed to building healthy families by supporting youth, health & wellbeing and inclusion. Feel Mentored is the ultimate cycle of giving back directly to those in need,” said Accor Pacific Senior Vice President Talent & Culture, Sarah Derry.
