Accor is powering ahead with the rapid expansion of its highly-popular Hyde lounge and entertainment venue expansion, announcing the brand will arrive in Sydney at one of the city’s most enviable locations, directly overlooking Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge.
The brand, in which Accor last year purchased a 50% stake in its parent, sbe Entertainment, will open its third location in Australia via a rebrand of Hacienda Sydney, which sits within the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. The rebranded venue will launch as Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge on 15 November 2019.
Hyde Hacienda Sydney will continue to build on the bar’s classic Latino American vibe and identity but will be improved with expanded seating areas. A renewed focus on superior table service, private booth hire, bar theatrics and weekend DJs along with dedicated Hen’s Night packages will be available under the Hyde identity. The bar’s hallmark floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views over the harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge will remain.
A revised share-style food menu with South American influences will make its debut as part of the rebrand to Hyde Hacienda Sydney. In addition, a new cocktail menu by Tim Philips-Johansson will be introduced including highlights such as the Coffee and Malt Old Fashioned, Chia Daiquiri and Pimm’s Smash.
The latest opening comes just a few weeks removed from Hyde’s second Australian opening as part of The Adnate in Perth and follows the brand’s maiden opening on the Gold Coast back in April.
Sbe Entertainment Founder and CEO, Sam Nazarian, said he was incredibly excited at Hyde opening its third location in Australia in such a short space of time.
“I want to thank Simon McGrath and his team for their continued trust in us and the incredible work they have done to launch Hyde in Australia. This is just the beginning of our international expansion of our brands globally in collaboration with our partners at Accor.”
“Hyde will bring a new level of energy, excitement and sophistication to Sydney’s sought-after CBD nightlife, creating a new era of hospitality for domestic and international guests,” added Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific, Simon McGrath.
