Accor has today opened its ninth Art Series brand hotel and first in Perth, with The Adnate welcoming its first guests into the colourful world of Matt Adnate and his giant building-sized murals.
First announced earlier this year at AHICE, the Art Series Perth on King Street is a $90 million development featuring 250 rooms which features a mural running the entire 25-storey height of the building’s exterior.
From later this month, The Adnate will also serve as the home of Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails – the second Australian location of Accor’s Hyde restaurant and entertainment venue brand which comes as part of a 50 per cent partnership with sbe Entertainment Group.
Artworks abound throughout the hotel, with the lobby featuring two original Adnate canvases and a large scale work above the staircase. In addition, 30 of Adnate’s collection of works have been reprinted as giclee prints and placed throughout the property. A 50-metre laneway mural has also been designed alongside the hotel. All of Adnate’s prints represent elements of Perth’s indigenous culture from past and present tribal leaders through to the children who will continue to lead the way for generations to come.
Accor Chief Operating Officer, Pacific, Simon McGrath, said the Adnate was a seamless combination of art, design and functionality.
“Our collection of Art Series hotels transcends the traditional hotel experience by masterfully uniting Australia’s contemporary art culture with a boutique hospitality experience.
“It’s a powerful representation of contemporary creativity, with connected and inspiring spaces for guests to discover. We’re so excited to share this stunning property with guests visiting Perth from other parts of Western Australia, interstate and overseas,” McGrath added.
