Accor has cemented its ongoing push into suburban regions of major cities, opening its latest Mercure in Sydney’s north-western suburb of Rouse Hill.
The newbuild 78-room property is located adjacent to The Fiddler – one of the area’s most established and popular dining and entertainment venues which is owned by the Lewis Land Group and dates back to the 19th century.
Mercure Sydney Rouse Hill offers a mix of Deluxe, Family Rooms and Suites along with four accessible rooms over its four floors. Guest facilities include a fitness centre, swimming pool, conference and event spaces, with dining provided by The Fiddler next door.
The new hotel is situated along Windsor Road – one of Sydney’s busiest arterial roads. Nearby is the booming Norwest Business Park at Bella Vista which serves as the regional headquarters for a variety of IT, telecommunications and technology businesses.
Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific, Simon McGrath, said the new hotel would contribute positively to the ongoing growth of the city’s north-western outskirts.
“Sydney’s North West is booming and the opening of this new internationally-branded midscale hotel signifies Accor’s confidence in this burgeoning pocket of greater Sydney. By injecting new hotel supply, the area will positively benefit from the economic and tourism growth associated with the creation of new jobs and services.”
