Melbourne’s Hotel Jasper is underway with the final stage of a $2.2 million refurbishment which will complement its position in the reinvigorated Queen Victoria Markets precinct.
The 90-room boutique property, which first opened in 2014, has been underway on the six-week project, in which it has upgraded the standard of its 59 Deluxe rooms with new King Koil Platinum bedding in both king and twin configurations. Other highlights to the new Deluxe rooms at Hotel Jasper include new 55” smart televisions, work desks and open-plan cabinetry.
Queen Victoria Markets is on the resurgence not just as a trading market but as a tourism attraction in its own right, with new hotels including the entry of Veriu Hotels to the Melbourne scene via a newbuild property due to open at this stage in 2022.
Jasper Hotel General Manager, Tony Tantaro, said the imminent completion of the refurbishment will lift the property to compete with a surge of new hotels entering the local market.
“As a revitalised boutique hotel with 90 rooms, we can offer something different, attractive and well-priced that will appeal to both the domestic and international market for hotel stays, functions and corporate events.”
