Highly experienced hotelier David Mansfield has joined the Senior Leadership Team at Quest Apartment Hotels as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer, it was announced today.
Central to his role will be the leadership of Quest’s Business Transitions team, which works to simplify the adjustment of new franchisees into the Quest network. He will also oversee the Quest Academy Team, which provides training to newly acquired franchisees. It comes just as Quest prepares to open its maiden property in the UK city of Liverpool.
Mansfield, who has spent close to two decades working with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and most recently as IHG Area General Manager for Melbourne and Canberra, will work closely with Quest General Manager – Franchise Operations, David Ridgeway, in his new role. In addition, Mansfield will continue his duties as the existing Chairman of the National Advisory Board of Employment for the Accommodation Association of Australia (AAoA).
Among his areas of particular expertise, Mansfield brings experience in hotel management and operations, asset management, strategy and alignment, concept development and culture change.
Commenting on his new role, Mansfield said Quest’s business format franchise model had reached a tipping point and that franchised hotels operating within a strong support network were capable of delivering outstanding results for guests.
“Quest’s business format franchise model has created a generation of hoteliers invested in their business and I look forward to contributing my expertise in hotel management and strategy to this model.”
Quest Founder and Chairman, Paul Constantinou, said the company’s newest recruit would strengthen the franchise business for ongoing future success.
“David will provide further collective strength in strategic decision making and leadership for the Quest corporate office and guide operational support across the franchise network.”
