Days Inn by Wyndham is on its way to New Zealand, with the midscale marque set to make its debut in the north-island city of Hamilton, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has confirmed.
To be located on the corner of Collingwood and Victoria Streets, Days Hotel and Suites by Wyndham Hamilton will occupy the building formerly known as Sudima Hamilton Hotel – set inside a restored 19th century building in the city’s centre. Aimed at business travellers primarily, the hotel will feature 69 rooms and suites, each boasting free WiFi, flat-screen televisions, environmentally-friendly bathroom amenities, while studios and suites will offer a furnished balcony.
Business facilities will include a number of meeting rooms, a lounge and on-site parking. Guests can also make use of a self-serve laundry. The hotel will be owned by the Giarn Family Trust.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts South East Asia and Pacific Rim President and Managing Director, Joon Aui Ooi said Days Inn was one of the world’s most recognisable hotel brands.
“Hamilton is an established destination for business, but there’s a limited supply of world-class hotel brands in the Central Business District to support the city’s commercial expansion and theatre development.
“The Giarn Family Trust is an excellent partner and we look forward to elevating Hamilton’s lodging offerings with this latest addition,” he added.
