A familiar face is back in the hot seat as NSW Tourism Minister, as the industry re-welcomes Stuart Ayres MP to the role he previously held from March 2015 to January 2017.
Tourism Accommodation Australia has added its well-wishes to the Penrith MP, saying it looks forward to working closely once again with Minister Ayres.
“Stuart Ayres has long been a highly respected member of the Cabinet and, of course, is very familiar with the tourism portfolio having previously been a NSW Trade, Tourism and Major Events Minister,” said TAA NSW Acting CEO, Adele Lausberg.
Plaudits were also sent to outgoing Tourism Minister Adam Marshall, who has been reassigned to a new portfolio of Agriculture and Western NSW.
“Minister Marshall had a great understanding of the tourism and accommodation industry and I would like to thank him for his efforts to improve the tourism experience in both metropolitan and regional NSW.”
