HM is now welcoming hotel designers to submit photographic examples of their work for consideration in the first annual Paul Davis Award for Hotel Design, which will be bestowed to a worthy applicant at the 2019 edition of AHICE in Melbourne.
The award will seek to recognise the outstanding efforts of a hotel designer for interior work on an Australian property which either opened for the first time in 2018 or reopened following renovations or refurbishment in 2018. Hotels in all market sectors, from Economy up to Luxury, will be considered on merits.
Both new-build and existing hotels are eligible and entries can incorporate either a whole-hotel design or just a particular room or space such as a lobby or hotel restaurant / bar.
Entrants must detail multiple criteria including the design concept, functionality and impact of the space, design disciplines used and sustainability elements. All images used as supporting material must be owned by the designer or be a formal licensee with full copyright privileges and be able to show evidence of this.
Nominations will close on April 5, 2019.
