Industry doyenne and Tourism Accommodation Australia CEO Carol Giuseppi has announced her resignation after eight years in the role, HM can exclusively reveal.
While no conclusive reason has been provided as yet for her departure, Giuseppi has been lauded industry-wide for a litany of industry-shaping contributions and resolute candour throughout her tenure. Tributes to the now-outgoing TAA chief began from National Chairman, Martin Ferguson.
“Under her leadership, TAA has more than doubled its membership and become the leading advocacy body for the tourism accommodation sector nationally,” he said.
Australian Hotels Association NSW and National President, Scott Leach, echoed the sentiments and added Giuseppi was highly devoted to the accommodation industry.
“Carol’s strong grasp of detailed policy at both the state and national level – and her devotion to her members both large and small – has driven TAA to become the preeminent association for the accommodation industry in Australia.”
Australian Hotels Association NSW CEO, John Whelan, said Giuseppi’s knowledge of the industry was “second to none” and that she was held in the highest regard across the sector.
“Carol’s enthusiasm and drive on behalf of TAA’s growing membership base will be missed. I thank her and wish her all the best in the future.”
Giuseppi will sign off from her role in April.
