Member benefits exclusive to Asia Pacific customers, including the ability to meet Maroon 5, have been rolled out by Marriott International as part of a revamped suite of rewards available via its new Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
VIP members with a sufficient points balance can redeem for Maroon 5 themed experiences at concerts in Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Kaohsiung, Macau, Singapore and Bangkok, with the ability to meet the band at three of those events.
Opportunities to redeem points for exclusive experiences at the Hong Kong 7’s rugby are also on the menu for owners of cashed-up points balances.
Dining and spa benefits at nearly 3,000 restaurants and bars at hundreds of hotels across the Asia Pacific region are among the most plentiful experiences available to guests through the new Marriott Bonvoy program – in many cases even without being an in-house guest at the hotel. Diners can receive discounts of up to 20 per cent off food prices, depending on membership tier, while non-staying members can earn 10 points per USD$1 spent on dining and bar purchases at participating Marriott International hotels.
Guests can earn 10 points per USD$1 spent at Marriott International spa facilities, even if not staying in-house. Gold Elite members and above will be offered FOC enhancement services for all treatments.
Families are front and centre of the new program, with Gold Elite members able to enjoy free breakfast for kids aged six and under, with those aged 7-12 able to enjoy a 50 per cent discount. All children up to age 12 receive free breakfast if travelling with Platinum Elite members. Regardless of the status tier, kids of all members receive free ice-cream during their stay.
Marriott introduced its new Bonvoy program last month as the single replacement program encompassing the former Marriott Rewards, Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest programs.
Marriott International Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Peggy Fang Roe, said the introduction of Bonvoy was a major milestone for the company.
“We are committed to elevating the Marriott Bonvoy program by bringing members more of what they love when they are at home or travelling, so they can share their benefits with friends and family.”
