Hilton has opened the doors at its first presence in Western Australia under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, following a soft opening just before Christmas.
The new 296-room hotel is a management agreement with SKS Group and is also Australia’s first newbuild DoubleTree. Official opening ceremonies took place outside the property, attended by WA Minister for Tourism, Paul Papalia. Also in attendance was Hilton Australasia VP Operations, Heidi Kunkel and Hilton cluster manager David Constantine, who oversees a number of hotels for the group in the Perth area. Leading the property will be long-serving Hilton veteran Tamer ElGhamry.
Situated in the suburb of Northbridge on the city CBD fringe, the new DoubleTree offers both King, Twin, Executive Panoramic and Deluxe Panoramic rooms. All rooms are fitted with digital locks, allowing Hilton Honors guests to use their smartphones as room keys. True to the brand’s hallmark, guests will also receive the signature DoubleTree cookie on check-in.
Guest facilities also include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and meeting spaces for up to 160 guests. Breakfast is served daily to eligible guests in the Executive Lounge on Level two. Dining options include the all-day restaurant James St Bar + Kitchen, which also serves bar snacks and facilitates the hotel’s room service menu under Head Chef Kevin Garcia.
“Northbridge has emerged to be the entertainment and cultural hub of Perth and DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge is located at the heart of it all,” Kunkel said.
“With attractions such as Yagan Square, Hay and Murray Street shopping malls and the Art Gallery of Western Australia just moments away, DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge is perfect for travellers looking for a stylish base to explore the city on foot.”
