Two new key team members have joined AccorHotels’ Development team, both moving across from companies recently acquired by AccorHotels.
Jeff Tisdall joined AccorHotels in 2016 from FHRI (Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel) to the role of Vice President Residential Development International and has now been promoted further to Senior Vice President Development Residential and Extended Stay. Jeff played a key role in integrating the FHRI residential pipeline and using the AccorHotels brand name buying power to increase this pipeline from 24 projects in 2016 to over 50 now.
The second appointee, Andrew Langdon, comes across to AccorHotels following one of its most recent acquisitions – Movenpick Hotels & Resorts – where he held the role of Global Chief Development Officer. With AccorHotels, Langdon will hold the title of Senior Vice President Development Asia, responsible for South East Asia, Japan & Korea. At the same time, Langdon will continue the development of the Movenpick brand in addition to his new duties.
AccorHotels Global Chief Development Officer Gaurav Bhushan said the two new appointees are among the best in the business.
“We have very ambitious development targets and the appointment of both Jeff and Andrew will allow us to grow in new segments and ensure that we maintain our leadership position globally,” Bhushan said.
Among his new duties, Tisdall will continue to oversee the development of AccorHotels’ Extended Stay segment – an area of growth AccorHotels has identified as a key opportunity to pursue.
Following the acquisition of Mantra Group, AccorHotels maintains an Extended Stay portfolio of over 40,000 rooms with a further 7,000 in the pipeline.
