The original family home of Victorian politician William Angliss has opened as Marnong Estate, a new luxury homestead offering guest accommodation after a lengthy restoration project.
The 1,100 acre, four-star estate is located around 15 minutes’ drive from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport in the city’s northern suburbs and now offers country hospitality overlooking the Macedon Ranges. Four twin-share rooms – named the Garden View Suite, Victorian Suite, Blue Stone Suite and Terrace Suite – make up the new homestead’s selection, each inclusive of an ensuite and queen bed.
Facilities on-site include a winery offerings tastings and tours as well as a restaurant and event space capable of hosting up to 250 people. In time, further attractions including a day spa, craft brewery and farmers market will all be developed and opened to guests and visitors.
Special opening rates are now available at Marnong Estate, with rooms starting at $295 per night (subject to availability) inclusive of continental breakfast for stays from Sunday to Thursday nights. Fridays and Saturdays are priced from $395 per night.
