Christopher James has been lured by Ovolo Hotels to head its sales division for the group’s hotels nation-wide, accepting a role as General Manager of Sales.
Formerly of Langham Hospitality Group where he was Assistant Director of Global Sales and the company’s 2016 Employee of the Year, James brings an extensive pedigree with history at many of the world’s major hotel groups including Marriott International and AccorHotels. He also joins Ovolo after a decade working in the vibrant London hotel and hospitality scene.
In his new role, James will focus his energy on sales operations for the group’s Australian hotels but in so doing, will target both domestic and international markets.
“After spending 10 years in the London hospitality scene, it’s hard to miss the buzz Ovolo is making within the hospitality industry both locally here in Australia and abroad. I’m excited to be investing my experience, passion and drive to gain more success for the company,” James said.
