HM can reveal today Lancemore Group has appointed well-known hotel industry executive, Andrew Turner, to the newly created position of Group Director of Development.
In the new role, Turner will drive Lancemore Group’s expansion throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Turner is one of the industry’s most successful and respected hoteliers, having served as CEO of Mirvac Hotels and Resorts where he grew the business from 7 properties under management with assets valued at $150 million to 48 properties under management with assets valued at $1.8 billion.
More recently he held the role of VP – Acquisitions (Asia) at Mantra Group where he opened the Singapore office and did a number of deals.
Before that, he was EVP Hotel Management for SilverNeedle Hospitality, where he introduced the Next and Sage brands to the market.
Turner is an inductee of the HM Magazine Hall of Fame and recipient of the Hotelier of the Year at the HM Awards.

Clark said Turner joins Lancemore Group after a busy and highly successful few years. Since 2014 Lancemore Group has grown from 243 rooms to 638 rooms under management and 516 rooms signed and in pipeline. During this time, all hotels have experienced significant EBITDA growth and owner value creation, with most hotels hitting record EBITDAs. Equally importantly, Lancemore have spent the last 18 months totally renovating three of its hotels – Larmont Sydney by Lancemore, Lindenderry Red Hill by Lancemore and the soon to be finished Lancemore Hill.
