The Novotel Surfers Paradise hotel has completed a property-wide, multi-million dollar refurbishment, opening in time for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in April.
The hotel joined the AccorHotels portfolio in October 2016, and has since undergone a significant renovation of its guestrooms and events and conferencing spaces.
Each of the 409 guestrooms have been updated, with modern technology, including in-room WiFi and bedside USB ports, while their light and contemporary design is inspired by Surfers Paradise and the surrounding coastal region. Additionally, the hotel now offers six conference rooms, including the Grand Ballroom which can cater for up to 500 delegates. The spaces offer removable walls allowing flexible meeting capabilities.
An estimated 1.5 million spectators are expected to attend the Commonwealth Games in April, with an expected 672,000 visitors looking for accommodation.
