The first stage of Ruby Collection’s billion-dollar development in Surfers Paradise, Ruby Apartments, has met with delays, due to high winds and wet weather. As a result, the opening of the luxury tower has been pushed back by two months, to November.
CEO of sister-property Paradise Resort David Brook said: “Although we would have liked to have been open this September, the revised November launch date makes allowances for any further weather delays.”
Despite the delays, construction has begun on the 21st floor of the 30-floor tower, while foundations have been laid for the 13-ground floor villas, which all form part of Stage 1 of the development.
Brook also revealed that Paradise Resort will eventually make way for Ruby Towers 2, 3 and 4, but it will be business as usual at the property for the next 18 months, at least.
