Abode Murrumbateman has opened its doors to its first guests.
The brand new property is situated just 30 minutes from Canberra’s CBD – or three hours from Sydney.
Abode Murrumbateman features 50 spacious studio rooms, flexible foyer spaces, communal kitchen facilities and a guest lounge.
Guests will also be able to enjoy the Abode Pantry, which is stocked with a selection of local favourites such as Canberra wines and produce.
Rien Donkin, general manager for Abode Group, told the Canberra Times that they wanted to create a high end feel but at the same “feel nice and homely”.
“[Murrumbateman] is the smallest hotel in [Abode Group], and we’ve opened five hotels now, and it has had the most interest of any of them from the people in Canberra and people we talk to – everyone asks about the hotel in Murrumbateman. So the interest is really strong,” he said.
