Dave’s Deli has been opened in a laneway venue in the Tank Stream Hotel on the corner of Curtin Place and Pitt Street, opposite Australia Square – one of the busiest office areas of the city.
The Dave’s Deli concept was first launched in 1989, and is best known as the ‘home of the original quarter roast chicken’ in Malaysia.
Brian Chin, Dave’s Deli CEO, said that the concept had really struck a chord in Kuala Lumpur, introducing western-style dishes, and particularly roast chicken, to local office workers who loved the ‘comfort’ style food and prices.
“In many cases, our roast chicken was the first time Malaysians had ever experienced such dishes, and once they got a taste for the bold flavours and the ‘fine fast food’ dining concept there was great demand for new outlets,” said Brian Chin. “We now have 12 Dave’s Deli venues in Malaysia and we believe there is great potential for growing the brand in Sydney and beyond.”
The ‘fine fast food’ outlet offers a range of dishes served in just 10 minutes, at an affordable price.
The collaboration with the Tank Stream Hotel will allow patrons of Dave’s Deli to use the hotel’s attractive bistro styled restaurant to elevate the dining experience.
With a tagline “Come Home to Good Food”, Dave’s Deli offers homestyle, comfort food including its signature roast chicken dish, beef and chicken pies, lasagne, pork belly roast and gourmet pork sausages. Dishes come with a choice of truffle mash, roasted vegetables, coleslaw and gravy. Seasonal and weekly specials will also be offered.
Dave’s Deli will also cater for groups, with the venue being ideal for relaxed, inexpensive office birthdays and other celebrations requiring a central location and quick service.
