In a time of climate change and diminishing natural resources, consumers are becoming ever more aware of their environmental responsibility and the sustainable impact of the businesses and brands they align themselves with. People are looking for hotels that share their respect for the environment.
For the last few years, Nespresso has helped hotels lighten their environmental footprint through its bulk recycling system, helping making it easier and more convenient than ever for Australian hotels to recycle their used Nespresso capsules. The program allows hotels to recycle their used Nespresso Professional aluminium capsules from conferences and the breakfast bar, whilst also taking advantage of this service to recycle the capsules from the coffee machine in their guest rooms.
The free recycling kit contains three boxes that are capable of collecting up to 1,500 capsules each, and are specially designed for the collection, storage and transportation of large volumes of used aluminium capsules. Nespresso covers the cost of delivering the boxes and returning the used aluminium capsules back to Nespresso.
Like its in-home capsules, Nespresso Professional capsules are made from aluminium, an infinitely recyclable material. The capsules are sent to a specialist recycling plant where dedicated equipment separates the aluminium from the used coffee grounds. The coffee grounds are then sent to make compost and the aluminium from the used capsules is bailed and sent back into the aluminium industry to manufacture new products.
