AccorHotels Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of two General Managers, Marcus Hanna and Alan Burrows for Raffles City (RC) Hotel complex in Singapore and Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay respectively.

Hanna will report to Tom Meyer, Vice President Operations Luxe Hotels Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, who remains at Raffles City Hotels as the Managing Director, effective late October 2017.

Hanna moves over from the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay, where he has been the General Manager since 2015.

Hanna has been with AccorHotels for 13 years and brings with him a wealth of experience, having held various management positions, initially at Sofitel Melbourne, then as the opening General Manager at Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park; this was later followed by General Manager assignments at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach and Sofitel Brisbane Central. He was also Project Manager for AccorHotels’ management of the Qantas First Class Lounges.

The RC Hotel complex comprises the Fairmont Singapore, Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore and Raffles City Convention Centre.

Burrows will replace Marcus as the General Manager of the bustling 403-room Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay effective mid-October 2017. He was formerly the General Manager of Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa since mid-2014.

Burrows is an experienced hotelier whose career with AccorHotels goes back to 1996. Over the years he managed various hotels across Novotel and Mercure brands in Sydney, Canberra and Perth before moving to Fiji.

Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay is situated along the banks of the historical Singapore River and Clarke Quay, home to over 150 restaurants and bars making it a very popular location for both locals and tourists.
