TFE Hotels has announced it will open the new Vibe Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour in 2019; a lifestyle hotel designed by WMK with a New York theme to its 145 rooms and suites.
The hotel on the upper end of Chinatown is a neighbour to the Darling Quarter and will add much needed liveliness to the area, as the already emerging dining scene in the precinct gradually draws closer to the corporate end of Sydney.
It will feature an all-day dining restaurant, fully equipped modern gymnasium, meeting rooms, infinity edge rooftop pool and an urban styled grand facade entry.
The rooms will feature an array of lifestyle amenities with their New York inspired design including curved rainfall showers, embedded window day lounges and retro bathroom fixtures. WMK have been selected as the winning architect in addition to being selected as interior designer.
Icon Oceania, a Sydney based property developer, heads up the Vibe Darling Harbour development. With over 20 years of experience specialising in high-end residential developments in Sydney’s lower North Shore and Eastern Suburbs, Icon Oceania is excited to be partnering with TFE Hotels in what will be their first flagship hotel in Sydney.
Vibe Darling Harbour will capitalize on its vicinity to Darling Harbour and ICC (International Convention Centre) and will be a much welcome boost to the undersupply in Sydney CBD.
TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman said “this marks a very exciting point in the ongoing refresh of our Vibe Hotels brand, which will soon have three exciting contemporary new additions at Darling Habour, in North Sydney and in central Hobart.
Typical of each new Vibe Hotel, guests of the new Vibe Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour can look forward to inviting shared spaces boasting design features that inspire creativity as well as flexible, connected work spaces throughout the building. There will also be a dedicated array of lifestyle features including Vibe Fit’s nutritious food menu, an in-room yoga channel and helpful Vibe Hosts ready with suggestions for exploring the surrounding area.
Together, these thoughtfully designed spaces and services will allow guests to easily connect with each other, loved ones, their work, the local area that is the wonderful Darling Harbour and – for those in need of recharge and relaxation – themselves.
Vibe Hotels also has a series of major refurbishments underway, designed to bring wellness and connectivity to the core of guest experience. The existing Vibe Hotel in Sydney, near Central Station, will unveil a new look later this year, which will include the new Storehouse at Central dining concept, while the resort-style Vibe Hotel Gold Coast will transform its pool area, restaurant and rooms.
These are in addition to eight existing Vibe Hotels including one in Canberra, which opened in December 2015 and has since won awards from the Master Builders Association and Architects Australia for its impressive futuristic design, and the beautiful bush land escape, Vibe Hotel Marysville, which opened in 2014.
In December last year the stunning new look Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay Sydney unveiled a refurbishment that transformed its rooms and its dining areas into a beautiful tranquil indoor and outdoor space, Storehouse on the Park, with a cool and contemporary 1950s Palm Springs theme.”
Mr Tran said: “Vibe Darling Harbour will be a well-timed addition to the market. Sydney’s hotel market will be stretched to capacity and with a number of large marquee conferences slated, as many as 10,000 delegates at any one time will descend into the city.” said Raymond Tran, Transactions Services at Colliers International.
“Sydney is one of Asia Pacific’s best performing hotel markets and this was evident in the strong interest shown by both domestic and international hotel operators, looking to further establish themselves in the CBD market”, said Christopher Milou, Director of hotel valuations at Colliers International.”
