The 25th annual Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) officially opened its doors on Tuesday, 21 February 2017, bringing together event professionals from over 20 countries on an exciting exhibition show floor.
Melbourne Convention Bureau Chief Executive Officer, Karen Bolinger, said that this anniversary is a great representation of the strength, creativity and diversity of the business events industry.
“We wowed delegates at the AIME Welcome Event last night in the stunning Carousel by food&desire which showcased Melbourne’s iconic Albert Park Lake. The event dazzled attendees with a creative blend of classical and contemporary entertainment and food,” she said.
Ian Wainwright, Event Director – AIME, Reed Travel Exhibitions expressed his delight with day one of the show.
“The high calibre of exhibitors and attendees is indicative of the industry’s excitement and commitment to AIME. The show floor is awash with colour and movement, with many exhibitors sharing new offerings and products to the delegates.
“We are thrilled with how everything has come together and the energy on the show floor, all the exhibitors have produced outstanding stands inspiring business connections,” Wainwright said.
As the largest show of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, AIME is renowned for bringing together important MICE industry leaders, decision makers and influencers at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) annually for a jam-packed program.
Day two of the show continues today, Wednesday, 22 February 2017.
