Best Western Hotels and Resorts has added three new hotels, bringing the number of properties in its Australasian network to 150.

The fresh additions feature the global group’s first upmarket ‘Plus’ branded property in New Zealand and expanded coverage in the key Australian cities of Brisbane and Perth.

In New Zealand, one of the Christchurch’s leading hotels which re-opened in July after a NZ$15m post-earthquake upgrade, the Best Western Plus Fino Hotel and Suites Christchurch, has been added.

Best Western Plus Fino Hotel and Suites Christchurch General Manager, Dilan De Silva, said: “We wanted to partner with a global powerhouse that can help us build our corporate business base.”

Over in Western Australia, Best Western Northbridge Apartments Perth has joined the portfolio.

Best Western Northbridge Apartments Perth owner, Daniel Godoy, said: “I wanted to be part of a global accommodation group that will help the business grow.”

Fresh from a total refurbishment, Best Western Plus Hotel Diana Brisbane has been added in Queensland.

Best Western Australasia Head of Commercial, Steve Richards, said the three new properties “exemplify the evolution of the brand”.

“Best Western’s come a long way over the past few years and it’s great to welcome hotels of this quality to our network,” Richards said.

All Best Western hotels now feature free high-speed internet, healthy breakfasts as standard fare and the ability to earn or redeem loyalty points that never expire.
