2017 is gearing up to be an exciting year for Vanuatu’s tourism industry with a wide range of new accommodation, dining options and activities for visitors to discover.
Whether it is an idyllic retreat on a secluded island, luxury resorts overlooking stunning lagoons, rustic coffee shops or Melanesian restaurants, Vanuatu is poised to create memorable experiences.
Additions to the accommodation offerings in the country include:
The Moso Vanuatu
Recently opened, Vanuatu’s newest addition to its already diverse range of accommodation options is The Moso Vanuatu resort on the dreamy and secluded Moso Island in the north of Efate Island. Dedicated on delivering a pure and exclusive boutique experience, The Moso Vanuatu offers five premium villas and a locally-inspired bistro bar that is open to guests and day visitors as well. Surrounded by idyllic scenery such as rustling coconut trees and crystal clear blue waters, this resort offers guests a memorable and romantic experience amidst an oasis of tranquility.
Tamanu on the Beach
Re-opening in November 2016, this four-star boutique resort is a resurrection of its predecessor, which was damaged by Cyclone Pam in 2015. However, after a full reconstruction and makeover, Tamanu on the Beach returns looking better than ever. This hidden gem retains its much-beloved sense for romance and privacy, but is expanded with more luxury amenities to cater for the higher-standard traveller. The resort’s original six rooms has now more than doubled to 15 discreet villas with air-conditioning; private balconies; raised stand-alone baths; and some with their own pools. Tamanu on the Beach’s renowned fine dining restaurant returns as well, showcasing local produce with a Melanesian twist.
Ramada Resort Port Vila
Nestled on the cliffs of Erakor Lagoon, only minutes from Port Vila, the Ramada Resort Port Vila is a newly built premier resort, due to open in early 2017, catering to couples, families and conference guests. This full-service beachfront retreat will offer 80 self-contained apartments provided with sophisticated facilities including a gym, relaxing day spa and several bars including a sports bar and lounge bar. The rooms will be furnished with all modern-day amenities such as flat screen TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi and will be outfitted with fully-equipped kitchens. All complemented with panoramic views, a lagoon style pool, and close to the restaurants, bars and shops in Port Vila.
