Leading Australian-based hotel and resort operator Mantra Group is spreading its wings in Asia with multiple acquisitions soon to be announced in key Asia-Pacific destinations including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
The man behind Mantra Group’s rapid traction in the Asian-Pacific market is the Group’s Vice President Acquisitions Asia, Andrew Turner, who joined the team in February this year based at Mantra Group’s new regional office in Singapore.
One of the industry’s most respected hoteliers, having served as CEO of Mirvac Hotels and Resorts and more recently as Executive Vice President Business Development for SilverNeedle Hospitality, Andrew has a deep understanding of the South East Asian accommodation markets and hotel investment landscapes.
Mantra Group Executive Director of Acquisitions Michael Moret-Lalli said Andrew’s appointment of was a key strategic initiative for Mantra Group’s successful expansion into Asia.
“Andrew’s expertise in strata title hotel structures and operations has allowed us to leverage our capabilities in this growing model in Asia and this will spearhead our expansion mandate,” Michael said.
Andrew is an inductee of the HM Magazine Hall of Fame and recipient of the Hotelier of the Year award.
