Mantra Group is set to manage the multi-million-dollar Wallaroo Shores Resort when it opens on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula later in 2016.
The AUD$40 million development will capitalise on a prime coastal outlook and will be located just metres from one of South Australia’s most attractive beaches, 160 kilometres northwest of Adelaide.
The four-star resort is being developed by Monopoly Property Group (MPG), as part of an extensive $220 million development which is set to transform 18.5 hectares of the picturesque beachside and confirm the town of Wallaroo as a premium leisure getaway.
The resort will include a two-storey Function Centre, including function rooms, meeting facilities, cinema, convenience store, and a café, all of which will be accessible to the public.
“We’re thrilled that Mantra has come on board to manage our first-class resort,” said MPG CEO, Alex Paior.
“One in 10 Australians stay with Mantra Group every year and the company is renowned as a leading accommodation provider both in Australia and internationally.
“We believe the Mantra brand will be the very best fit in helping us deliver high-end accommodation that’s overdue on the vibrant Copper Coast,” he said.
Mantra Group operates more than 125 properties in city and leisure destinations across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, expanding their Mantra, Peppers, and BreakFree hotels and resorts at great pace in recent years.
The group boasts a number of premium hotels in Adelaide’s CBD including Mantra on Frome, Mantra Hindmarsh Square, and Peppers Waymouth Hotel.
“Mantra Wallaroo Shores Resort will be an exciting advancement for Mantra Group, as it will be our first property in regional South Australia,” said Mantra Group CEO, Bob East.
“We are very confident that the resort will complement our existing high-performing Adelaide city portfolio and that it will quickly become a popular escape of choice away from the city.”
