Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu is set to re-open its doors on 1 June, after a major revitalisation and restoration program, nearly 15 months after its closure due to the damage inflicted by Tropical Cyclone Pam.
Located just minutes from Port Villa town, the resort is a quiet and beautiful haven with exclusive lagoon frontage. The resorts family-style accommodation and romantic overwater villas reflect the tropical beauty and Melanesian flavour of Vanuatu.
The resort boasts a spa, tennis court, stunning pool areas, kids’ club, golf course and water sports, with sophisticated furniture and local art to make each area an oasis of beauty and inspiration.
Daily experiences on offer for teens and tweens include fish feeding, basket weaving, beach soccer, cooking classes, stand-up paddleboard lessons and a robust programme of cultural and outdoor experiences – such as lessons on how to shimmy coconut trees, shuck and de-flesh coconuts and how to build a lovo oven.
When it reopens, the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu will welcome back large numbers of its friendly team and the many leisure travellers who visit every year.
Simon Douthett, General Manager of Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu, said: “We’re excited to ‘welkam’ and once again create special memories, for both those who have been before and also those who will experience our little piece of paradise for the first time.
“The tropical natural playground that is Vanuatu makes a stay here ‘nambawan’, as the locals say.”
Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu boasts 10 overwater villas on a private island which are perfect for weddings, families and groups. With an increased interest in group bookings, the overwater villas are ideally located as a private oasis with specially tailored menus, beverage and entertainment offerings.
“Whether you’re after a tropical holiday with your family or a romantic getaway, Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu caters for your every need,” Douthett said.
“We are kid-centric and children are very well catered for, with kids 12 years old and under staying and eating for free. This means that parents can have a relaxing holiday too as the Kids Club and Activities teams keep them happy and entertained.”
