TFE Hotels will operate a new Adina Apartment Hotel as part of a mixed-use commercial, retail and dining precinct in Fremantle’s stylish West End, expected to open in July 2018.
The hotel will be located opposite Fremantle’s port and cruise ship terminal, on the Woolstores Shopping Centre site at 28 Cantonment Street, next to the heritage buildings and pubs of the West End and the city’s famous cappuccino strip on Market Street.
The development will make the most of the location’s spectacular uninterrupted panoramic views, with the hotel occupying levels 8-11 of the 11-storey building. Guests will enter the lobby at the ground floor and will enjoy a pool, gym, 235 square metres of meeting space and an on-site car park.
This will be TFE Hotels’ first Fremantle hotel, after Adina signed an operating agreement with owners Silverleaf Investments, a Fremantle-based private property investment company established in 1989.
TFE Hotels CEO, Rachel Argaman, said the development would add an exciting design element to Fremantle’s rich architectural landscape, perfect for tourists as it was just 19km from Perth’s CBD, 28km from Perth airport and close to the Rottnest Ferry terminal.
“Our new Adina Apartment Hotel is strategically placed in Fremantle, which is one of the most desirable places to visit and stay in Western Australia yet has a shortage of quality hotels,” she said.
“This will be a really exciting addition to the tourist offering along WA’s beautiful West Coast.”
The new Adina Apartment Hotel, Fremantle will comprise 141 rooms, consisting of 60 studios, 73 one-bedroom apartments and eight two-bedroom apartments. Construction is expected to start in early 2017.
Typical of Adina Apartment Hotels, it will offer the modern explorer spacious apartment living with the benefit of hotel services such as 24-hour reception and room service, perfect for business travellers, families or groups.
Contemporary living and working spaces will encourage guests to “live like a local” in home-like studios with kitchenettes or in one and two-bedroom apartments with fully-equipped kitchens and laundries.
A joint venture between Toga Group and Far East Hospitality Holdings, TFE Hotels operates more than 70 hotels in key destinations and capital cities across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Asia.
“At TFE Hotels we offer true technical services,” Argaman said. “We advise and consult on the architectural design, cost estimations, construction and project management, performance specification and building layout of new or refurbished hotels.
“We offer intelligent guidance on the potential impact of any modifications, asset management and assist in the interior design scheme, along with FF&E guidance and procurement.
“All of these services are considered and executed with optimal returns for the owner always top of mind,” she said.
