The famed Grand Hotel Tremezzo set on the shores of Lake Como has just reopened for the 2016 season.
Throughout the northern hemisphere spring through autumn season, guests from all over the world will be able to enjoy this luxurious hideaway with interiors that are a combination of classically elegant and chic contemporary style.
Nestled in a unique setting that is a dreamy oasis and at the same time just an hour’s drive from Milan and its airports, Grand Hotel Tremezzo is situated in the most beautiful spot at Lake Como, where the two branches of the lake meet, and set against the rose-tinted backdrop of the Gringe mountains. The hotel has a total of 14 suites, including 8 Rooftop Floor Suites, with private panoramic terraces and outdoor heated jacuzzis and 4 luxurious Historical Suites in the centre of the original Palace – Suite Carlotta, Suite Greta, Suite Aurelia, and Suite Maria, the honeymoon suite.
Following multi-million dollar refurbishments to various parts of the original building over a number of years the hotel this season is delighted to unveil its now fully completed new T Spa, which is partnered with leading British beauty brand, ESPA. The impressive Grand Hotel Tremezzo has transformed 18th century Villa Emilia next door, to accommodate over 1,000 sqm of wellness space dedicated to beauty/well-being experiences for its guests. The new facility comprises five-treatment rooms – offering ESPA treatments and products – a hamman and nail bar, set over three storeys in addition to the breathtaking infinity pool plus a 3-storey gym. Adding to the experience, is a new humid area comprising a Mediterranean bath, steam bath and sauna with stunning lake views, and as well, an ice fountain, showers and a relaxation area decorated with onyx walls.
The brand new T Spa in Villa Emilia spa has been designed by architecture studio Venelli Kramer who has previously designed the hotel’s T Beach on the edge of the lake, and its Rooftop Suites.
Villa Emilia also features a wonderful new suite – Suite Emilia, with private access to the TSpa, which is a perfect escape for couples wishing for an afternoon of rejuvination. Boasting a classic but yet contemporary style, Suite Emilia features delicate colours in the shades of green, light blue and grey. The princely bathroom, luxuriously realised in Lasa marble features a steam bath, a double rainshower and an oversized Jacuzzi located in the centre of the room. Totally independent from the main body of the Hotel, Suite Emilia offers absolute privacy for the most romantic stay, retaining all the comforts of the Grand Hotel. The view on the lake and the village of Bellagio adds a unique touch of poetry and romanticism to this unique suite.
Outside, the hotel is set to launch ‘Dis Moi Oui’ – a corner of paradise in the garden with an even more glorious view; the updated Flowers Pool, which has been elegantly refreshed with mosiac tiles. All of the garden design elements are by the top landscape architect Emilio Trabella, who has also worked on landscaping at George and Amal Clooney’s house at nearby Villa Oleandra.
In addition, final design updates have been completed to all the Superior Rooms rooms in the hotel, with the lead-in category, Prestige Park Rooms. The beautiful and newly refurbished rooms combine elegant interiors with décor that captures the majesty of the cascading park at the rear of the hotel.
