Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added 25 hotels to its highly curated collection of independent small hotels so far in 2015.
The following hotels are not only new to the SLH brand but also new to the world – as they will all very shortly open their doors for the very first time.
The Laslett, London, UK, opening 5 August, 2015
Named after well-loved community activist, Rhaune Laslett, who organised the first Notting Hill Festival, the hotel will host 51 well-appointed bedrooms and suites, spread across five listed Victorian townhouses on Pembridge Gardens.
Made famous by the film, Notting Hill is also known for Portobello Road Market, the world’s largest for antiques, as well as for its fashionable restaurants and bars. Inspired by this vibrant local scene, the look and feel of The Laslett will evoke the sense of walking into a friend’s stylish home. Pieces from British designers such as Simon Day, Pinch and Earnest Race compliment the interior, whilst art and photography from celebrated local names hang in the rooms. The public space downstairs is part coffee shop, part bar-kitchen, part gallery and part concept store, with regular art exhibitions and a locally sourced food and drink selection that will evolve throughout the day. The Laslett will offer in-room spa treatments and pop-up dining opportunities.

H Resort – Beau Vallon Beach, Mahe Seychelles, opening 1 August, 2015
There is nothing usual about the new H Resort opening this summer in the exotic Seychelles; built around a natural lagoon, the hotel is at one with nature. With green foliage visible at every level, the hotel was built while keeping the environment front of mind. Guests will enjoy the connection with nature while also feeling in tune with the local culture; the integration of local Seychellois design with Creole flavour and island style is inimitable.

The hotel is the sister property to exclusive Hotel Haven, also in Helsinki and is located in the urban cool design district of the city on a quiet street.
