Lancemore Group has taken over the Diamant Hotel in Sydney from 8Hotels.
The move comes following the sale of the property from a consortium of investors, including 8Hotels founder Paul Fischmann, to Singapore’s TEE Land.
The property is now known as the Larmont Sydney by Lancemore and is set to be revamped this year, according to the group, headed by Julian Clark.
“The Lancemore Group have landed on the shores of Sydney, and done so with quite the bang,” the group said in a statement.
“Recently coming under the wing of boutique hotel specialists, Lancemore Group, the Diamant has undergone a rebranding and has been reborn as Larmont Sydney by Lancemore.
“The next 12 months will see the hotel revamped with our signature Lancemore touch.
“Already an institution, we want to ensure that we maintain the hotel’s essential soul and play on this by breathing a new zest of life into the walls.
“The hotel has been a favoured hub for locals and travellers alike, who return time and again because of the modern energy the hotel exudes and, well, the location is second to none! We couldn’t have landed in a better spot if we’d tried really.
“The Lancemore Group are renowned for their their ability to create an intimate and personable guest experience.
“We’ve been in the game for some twenty-five odd years now and with this latest addition, we now have six stunning boutique properties in our portfolio, all with their own unique personality, but all with a unified Lancemore essence.
“Venturing into the Sydney marketplace has been on our radar for a while now and we feel have found the ideal property to make our foray into the city with Larmont Sydney by Lancemore,” the company said.
