Accor Asia Pacific’s ITB VIP Dinner this year played host to a spectacular performance from Les Misérables featuring 18 former cast members drawn from around the world.

The performance was an intimate rendition of the shows most beloved musical numbers, featuring West End and Broadway leading man Earl Carpenter, Australian musical theatre star Daniel Koek and the incredible talents of Sophia Ragavelas and Laura Tebbutt.

The performance took take place at Accor hotel’s client dinner on Wednesday 4th March at the Sofitel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt and was once again an absolute highlight of the ITB calendar.

“We are delighted to bring together this amazing company of performers, who have all appeared in Les Misérables, to perform for our VIP guests,” said Accor Asia Pacific’s Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer, Graham Wilson.

Les Misérables is the world’s longest running musical and has been seen by 70 million people in 43 countries and performed in 22 languages. Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Les Misérables, which opened in Melbourne on 3 July 2014, breaking box-office records, is currently playing in Perth and opens in Sydney at the Capitol Theatre in March this year

“Over the years we have showcased some amazing talent at our ITB dinners including the London cast of The Lion King and the New York cast of Jersey Boys, but this year’s performance of Les Misérables promises to be the most memorable we have done and I am thrilled we have been able to bring together such amazing international talent for this private event,” Wilson said.

Now in its 11th year, the Accor ITB dinner was designed to thank and recognise the travel industry elite, with guests enjoying a fabulous three-course dinner and fine French wines and Champagne while they watch the performance.

“Accor has done it again,” said Siew Hoon Yeoh, Founder and Editor of Web in Travel, who has attended several of the VIP events.

“Every year Accor’s client dinner gets better and better and it has become the one event that everyone looks forward to at ITB. I don’t know how they will be able to top this for next year.”
