Brisbane’s first street art hotel, Tryp Fortitude Valley Hotel has thrown in the towel with regard to a ‘strict uniform policy’.
For the Tryp guest service team, it’s all about self-expression.
The hip boutique hotel, which recently opened on Constance Street, Fortitude Valley has teamed up with Black Milk Clothing as a fashion partner.
Known for its striking street art, murals and funky rooftop bar, the hotel offers a unique and immersive hotel experience.
Also based in Brisbane, Black Milk Clothing is one of the fastest-growing Australian clothing companies, selling in excess of 1,000 garments online a day.
The edgy designs of their garments, which feature motifs from popular cult fiction such as Game of Thrones, Star Wars, the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Adventure Time and DC Comics, are just a few of the edgy garments the female staff members of the Tryp Fortitude Valley Hotel team wear to work.
“The Tryp motto is ‘Own the City’ and to stay true to our motto we have chosen to reflect this image by teaming up with Black Milk Clothing, a globally renowned Brisbane fashion label,” said Tryp Fortitude Valley Hotel’s General Manager, Warren Cullum.
“Black Milk is an amazing brand with an impressive range of fashion to choose from. Our team at Tryp love the freedom of personality and self-expression that comes with dressing in Black Milk garments,” he said.
The label, which was started in a Brisbane house by founder James Lillis, has close to one million Instagram followers.
“We like do things a little bit differently at Black Milk Clothing and so does the team over at Tryp,” said Cameron Parker, Head of Sales and Marketing at Black Milk Clothing.
“Tryp hotels are known across the globe as being the edgy, cool kids on the block and we are incredibly excited to be able to work with them. With our shared focus of creativity, a love of great artwork, and a pervasive sense of having fun, the partnership with Tryp makes a lot of sense. This is a really fun collaboration,” he said.
