Glenferrie Lodge in Kirribilli on Sydney’s lower north shore has completed a major AUD$1 million refurbishment of all 70 rooms at the 19th Century heritage guesthouse.
As a result from the overhaul of bedrooms, bathrooms, dining/communal areas and garden, this boutique budget hotel has already seen a rapid increase in bookings, according to owner and CEO of Emerald City Hotels, Jean-Claude Branch.
He said the hotel attracts ‘flashpackers’, repeat visitors and by introducing new conference facilities, an influx of business travellers are now regular guests at the Lodge.
Branch said as the only pet friendly hotel in the area, the Lodge has also verified an acceleration of niche guests, with the added attraction of a re-landscaped, enclosed garden area.
“We’re extremely happy with the results of the renovation,” he said. “Upgrading Glenferrie Lodge has created a more comparable brand with our sister hotel, Cremorne Point Manor.
“With the addition of the Manor’s luxury penthouse and our 10 unit North Sydney Suites apartments, we’re set for an incredible 2015.”
Alongside the Lodge’s re-modelled shared and ensuite bathrooms, the new accommodation styles range from single budget to family rooms, twin rooms and package triple rooms.
