Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is set to undergo a $12 million dollar refurbishment with works commencing at the hotel in early January 2015.
The project, which will be completed by the end of 2015, includes a modern update of the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas and food and beverage outlets.
“Holiday Inn Perth City Centre has been part of Perth’s business community since the re-branding of the Town House Hotel in the late 1970s,” said Holiday Inn Perth City Centre General Manager, Deane Palmer.
“We’re looking forward to being able to debut the hotel’s new, freshened up look next year, which will help to cement our hotel as the preferred choice for locals and visitors to Perth for many more years to come.
“I have full confidence that there will be minimal disruption to guests staying with us during this period. We look forward to welcoming guests both old and new to the hotel to experience the warmth and friendliness that the Holiday Inn brand is renowned for,” Palmer said.
In the hotel’s public spaces, guests will be greeted by a modern, spacious lobby and re-energised dining facilities. A new al fresco dining area directly on the street level will help guests to get a feel for the buzz of the city, whilst also providing space for a more intimate dining and lounge experience.
To ensure that there is minimal disruption to hotel guests throughout the renovation period, work will take place between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Saturday and will be completed by October 2015. Scaffolding will be erected in early January, which will enable easy access to guest rooms from the hotel entrance on Hay St. The main entry and street access to the hotel will be screened to provide comfortable access to the lobby and reception.
The guest room program will be completed one tower at a time, meaning the hotel will operate with little disruption to guests. During the renovation works, access to level one and ground floor public amenities will be staged to minimise disruption to the flow and facilities.
