The Langham, Sydney is set to re-open on December 2 after a AUD$30 million makeover.
GA Design has worked direct from London with luxury building experts, ICMG and The Langham Executive Team, to ensure every construction accent is enthralled in perfection.
“GA’s vision, in conjunction with The Langham brand power, is set to create a new addition to the Sydney luxury sector that will transcend the market,” said The Langham, Sydney General Manager, Sonia Lefevre.
“No expense has been spared in creating this elegant harbourside retreat for our guests,” she said.
This project will see internationally designed spaces paired with eclectic interior furnishings and every corner of this magnificent hotel has been given a grand treatment. Each light switch, fitting, fixture, chandelier, every piece of marble is being replaced with a more superior product.
Hand curated art by Sotheby’s, Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood, an immersive fine dining concept at Sydney’s newest offering, Kent Street Kitchen, an exclusive new day spa, five brand-new, lavish event spaces for the glitterati of the city to enjoy, plus Sydney’s largest lead-in guestrooms with Langham’s signature terraces and balconies, is just a taste of the modern luxury to follow.
One of the biggest developments is the newly exposed harbour views from all aspects of the hotels’ public spaces including guest check-in which will drench the hotel in light and bring the once dark space, into a modern luxe feel.
The addition of six ornate bespoke designed fireplaces across the hotel only highlights the level of detail being injected into the project.
“The Langham, Sydney arrives into the market place at an exciting time with the development of Barangaroo on the hotel’s doorstep. The Langham, Sydney will be treated to beautiful views over the parklands, with guests being a short stroll from all the action,” said Lefevre.
“The Langham, Sydney hasn’t just undergone a refurbishment. This is a grand transformation.” said Lefevre.
