Hilton Worldwide yesterday announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns. The 237-room former Holiday Inn is the 400th DoubleTree by Hilton to open globally.

DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is located at 121 The Esplanade, approximately six kilometres from Cairns International Airport and half a kilometre from Cairns’ CBD centre.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, Citron in-room amenities, 24-hour fitness and business centres, a dedicated tour desk and meeting and event spaces that can facilitate meetings for up to 160 guests’ theatre-style. A unique feature of the hotel is a rainforest garden with a barramundi pond.
DoubleTree by Hilton is Hilton Worldwide’s fastest growing full service brand and offers 400 properties in 33 countries and territories. Along with three existing DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in Australia, DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by ilton Esplanade Darwin and DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs, two new DoubleTree by Hilton hotels are planned in Perth and Fremantle in Western Australia. The DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns is owned by the BG Hotels group (Mr and Mrs Ludwig Berger), and is the sixth hotel within the group’s portfolio to be managed by Hilton Worldwide.
