Quest Serviced Apartments has opened a brand new property in the Northern Territory, Quest Berrimah, in Darwin’s eastern suburbs.
Quest CEO, Zed Sanjana said strengthening Quest’s presence in the Northern Territory was an important part of the serviced apartment operator’s growth strategy, especially given the unprecedented level of activity currently underway.
“The Northern Territory has experienced impressive growth over the past decade, driven primarily by defence, mining, manufacturing, construction, tourism, and retail/wholesale trade. The territory boasts a strong pipeline of major projects including the Ichthys LNG Project and a Marine Supply Base, which will secure Darwin’s position as an oil and gas hub,” said Sanjana.
“The territory is positioned to be an important driver of Australia’s economic growth over the next century. In particular Darwin and its surrounding suburbs are key to Quest’s strategy, with major growth industries including: health, construction, education and training,” he said.
“Employment opportunities are expected to continue increasing, with Deloitte Access Economics forecasting an additional 16 000 jobs in the territory between 2012 and 2017; an average annual increase of 2.5%.
“Quest Berrimah Franchisees – Mark Lisiecki, and Richard and Trisha Hartshorn – have done a remarkable job in getting Quest Berrimah ready to open its doors today and I have no doubt the property will be a great success, maintaining Quest’s reputation for high quality, long-stay accommodation,” Sanjana said.
Quest Berrimah’s franchisees were thrilled to open the property’s doors today, delighted with the outcome of months of hard work and preparation.
“As the property is just 8kms away from the Darwin Airport and only a 15-minute drive from Darwin’s CBD, it is the ideal choice for the corporate traveller, providing quick access to the Darwin Corporate Park, Berrimah Business Park, Wishart Business Precinct and Winnelie Industrial Precinct. We are also within close proximity to the Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex, East Arm Wharf, Royal Darwin Hospital and Robertson Barracks,” Lisiecki said.
“In addition, our guests can experience the natural wonders of the beautiful Top End, as the property is located only moments from Charles Darwin National Park, a few hours’ drive away from the famous national parks of Kakadu and Litchfield, and just a boat-ride from the unique Tiwi Islands.
“We cannot wait to maintain Quest’s high standard of quality and provide the best experience for every guest. It’s an exciting time and we know this brand new property will quickly become the preferred accommodation option for both the business and leisure traveller,” he said.
Located at 4 Berrimah Rd, Quest Berrimah was developed by PTM Group, the same developer with which Quest partnered for the Quest Parap property. PTM Group Managing Director, Tony Papadakis expressed his enthusiasm for the new property and continued partnership with Quest.
“PTM Group was very pleased to partner with Quest once again to develop the brand new Quest Berrimah property; delivering a much needed serviced apartment offering to the thriving business sector developing outside of the Darwin CBD,” Papadakis said.
“As with Quest Parap, we have delivered a high quality development in line with Quest’s commitment to providing the best possible accommodation offering and I believe this property will be a great success,” he said.
The property features 88 brand new studio and one bedroom fully serviced apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities, separate living/dining area, Wi-Fi, iPod docking and multi-device charging stations, LED Smart TV, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, onsite car parking, swimming pool, alfresco barbecue area, gymnasium and conference room facilities.
Guests also enjoy traditional Quest services such as pantry shopping, dry cleaning services, restaurant chargeback, babysitting booking services and business administration.
Quest Berrimah is one of ten new Quest properties to open this financial year across a range of CBD, suburban and regional locations, including Melbourne Airport (VIC), Townsville (QLD) Newcastle West (NSW), Liverpool (NSW), Kelvin Grove (QLD), Chermside (QLD), Toowoomba (QLD) and the recently opened King William South (SA) and Woolloongabba (QLD) properties.
