Former TAHL executive Gus Moors has joined Colliers International as National Director of Transaction Services – Hotels.
Moors has significant industry expertise, most recently heading up asset management for Tourism Asset Holdings Limited (TAHL) for the past four years.
Moors was instrumental in the sell down of TAHL’s AUD$1.5 billion worth of hotels, including the recent sale of its leased portfolio for some AUD$800 million to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority – Australia’s largest ever hotel transaction.
“TAHL has been the most active vendor in the market these past four years, and my involvement in all facets of the transaction will help me guide our clients through each stage of the sales process,” Moors said, adding the experience also helped him to build upon his already expansive network, having sold assets to owners including CDL, Host Hotels and LaSalle Investment Management.
Prior to TAHL, Moors was Head of Asset Management and Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.
Colliers International’s Managing Director – Hotels, Asia Pacific, Stephen Burt, has welcomed Moors to the team.
“We’re delighted to have Gus join our team during this period of significant growth,” he said.
“Our hotels division is poised for strong growth and this appointment further delivers on our strategy to build Australasia’s most experienced hotel transaction and advisory team.”
